Respect
Positive classroom environment where each student feels confident and encouraged.
I want each student to feel safe to explore and try new things. Making a mistake will always be seen as an amazing opportunity to learn, NOT as a sign of failure. I will always do my best to provide positive feedback, making sure to remain constructive, and will encourage students to do the same.
Expectations will be made clear so that students know what is expected of them, and they will be made aware what resulting positive and negative consequences are ahead of time(so no one is thrown off and all resulting consequences are fair).
We will strive as a class to maintain a high level of mutual respect (peer to peer, as well as teacher to student)in our classroom through clear and thorough communication, which we will be practicing a lot! We will take pride in, and be respectful of, our classroom and materials.
I will work to educate your whole child- academically, physically, socially, and emotionally- so that they are well-rounded students that are prepared for first grade by the end of the year. I am excited for a year full of learning, all while having fun!
